Cards 4 Critters is a quarterly Texas Hold'em poker tournament organized in 2012 as a way to raise money to help the local animal rescues in saving the lives of the areas homeless pets.

 

Cards 4 Critters poker tournament is held the last Sunday of January, April, July and October.  It is held at the Charles Denby VFW Post 2953 , 1800 Pollack Avenue, Evansville IN.

 

Registration begins at 12:00 p.m. with the tournament starting at 2:00p.m.  

 

Buy-in $30 ($10 going to the rescues)

One Rebuy available until the beginning of the 2nd blind $30 ($10 going to the rescues)

$10 addon available with buy-in and rebuy ($5 going to the rescues)

Progressive Side Pot Available $2 to be eligible to win. The first 4 of a kind or straight flush will win 10% of this pot. First Royal Flush will win 100 % of this pot. If no one hits the pot rolls into the next tournament on July 27, 2014. The balance of this pot is now at $211.

 

Payout will be dependent on the number of players.  But is usually something like below..

1st place - 40%

2nd place - 20%

3rd & 4th place - 10%

5th & 6th place - 7%

7th & 8th place - 3%

 

Each player will start with $20,000 in chips.  The add on is for an additional $5000. The rebuy is same as the original buy-in. The blinds will increase every 20 minutes.  Blind structure is as follows:

   At this point the blinds will no longer increase but the ante    will increase by $5000 every 20 minutes.
